Upgrade Cisco ios image c9300 for remote site ( Remotly )

Hi,

How can I upgrade CISCO switch ios image to 16.9.3. the switch locate in remote site and no engineer can reach the location. Can I upgrade it if I have access through ssh or telenet ?

As per theory you should be good, as long as you follow the upgrade process and tested  ( Locally in the lab simulate like remote site)

same steps will be followed for the remote site.

Again risk level here and you need to undertsand.

as long as all go well..good the switch come come back online with new IOS XE and exiting config

if you have tested same proceedure in the labm you are 99% good. hopefully no power outage at remote site while you upgrading.

Upgrade always off peak hours, since switch required reboot after upgrade.

make sure you read the release notes and understand the caveats your environment.

if you have ftp or tftp acces you can upload the software remotely and reboot into new image.
