upgrading path for cisco ISR4431

Hi everyone, 

We have a cisco ISR4431 with version 16.6.7, and we want to upgrade it to 17.9.4a

Is there any suggested path or we can do it directly?

check the ROMMON requirement - if the ROMMON is latest you can upgrade to the target version
