Question about FAB-3 of Nexus 7710

Hi

I am searching about different I/O Modules of Nexus 7710.

There are three M3 Modules for this model:

1- N77-M312CQ-26L

2- N77-M348XP-23L

3 - N77-M324FQ-25L

I want to ask are these modules supported on "N77-C7710-FAB3" and "N77-SUP3E"

Some documents only mention to SUP2E and FAB2 and this confuses me...

Thank you for your help and support....

Hi

The M3 modules are supported together with SUP3E and FAB3.

Reference: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/switches/datacenter/hw/nexus7000/installation/guide/b_n7710_hardware_install_guide/b_n7710_hardware_install_guide_chapter_01.html?bookSearch=true#concept_1F2B0FD787C94811AEE6C7A8D4307B94

Supervisor modules (one or two) (N77-SUP2E and N77-SUP3E) in Slots 5,6

I/O modules (1–8) in Slots 1-4, 7-10

  • 48-port 1/10-Gigabit Ethernet I/O module (N77-F248XP-23E)

  • 12-port 100-Gigabit Ethernet I/O module (N77-F312CK-26)

  • 24-port 40-Gigabit Ethernet I/O module (N77-F324FQ-25)

  • 48-port 1- and 10-Gigabit Ethernet I/O module (N77-F348XP-23)

  • 30-port 100-Gigabit Ethernet I/O module (N77-F430CQ-36)

  • 12-port 100-Gigabit Ethernet I/O module (N77-M312CQ-26L)

  • 24-port 40-Gigabit Ethernet I/O module (N77-M324FQ-25L)

  • 48-port 1- and 10-Gigabit Ethernet I/O module (N77-M348XP-23L)

Fabric modules (up to six with two behind each fan tray) (N77-C7710-FAB-2 and N77-C7710-FAB-3)

There is this also this compatibility matrix: https://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/switches/datacenter/nexus7000/sw/matrix/technical/reference/Module_Comparison_Matrix.pdf

However this is not updated with SUP3 and FAB3, but I send an email to Cisco Documentation team to update the matrix.

Stay safe,

Sergiu
