What does the term ''channel'' mean with SFP+ mean?  channelling them like ether channel?

just to give an idea, SFP+ plus gives 40G with in single channel.

Some SFP+ transceivers use multiplexing (shorthand term = "mux"). The mux technique takes multiple channels (sometimes referred to as "lanes") running at a lower bit rate and combines them on a given pair of fibers to achieve a higher effective throughput. for instance. 100 Gbps is often comprised of four separate 25 Gbps lanes.

You're asking about "ordinary" optical transceivers, not CWDM/DWDM transceivers?  (I ask because channels also is used with the latter.)  I believe SFP+ is the transceiver's port module format, the plus being a SFP port that supports gig or 10g SFP transceivers.

It's also possible you're asking about QSFP+ 40g transceiver which supports 4 channels of 10g or 1 channel of 40g.
