CallManager version 3.3(sr2) OS2000.2.6sr4.
A PSTN caller calls inbound.THe call is picked up by the receptionist. She then blind transfers the call to another IPPHone. Two way conversation is established between IPPhone and PSTN caller. IPhone user then transfers the PSTN caller to another extension on a IPPhone and PSTN caller gets disconnected when the transfer button is pressed the second time for that blind transfer. IT does not happen internally. Only from the PSTN. Any help would be great. THanks.

Hi,
Do you have CCM 3.3(3) or 3.3(4)?
Is the GW H.323 or MGCP?
Does the failing Transfer stay on the same CCM cluster or is it across and Inter Cluster Trunk?

Sorry About that. CallManager 3.3(4). 2691 with a NM-HDV2-1T1 module running MGCP gateway. It's one cluster. One Publisher. 2691 IOS version 12.3(8)T4.
Thanks.

If you perform a supervised transfer for the second transfer does the call work?

Yes it works. It is possible to give the supervised transfer warning, then press transfer to release the call to the dialed extension, and that's where it disconnects.

I am having the EXACT same issue with a client's phone system. In addition to calls between IP phones, calls into Unity do the same thing: CFNA -> greeting, transfer back to phone, CFNA -> greeting, transfer back to phone -> immediate drop.

In Gateway properties, try setting "MTP always required".
