Hello,
I have centralized callmanager and 3 different remote locations. Is it possible to have 3 different unity servers at the remote locations and make callmanager talk to all the 3 unity servers.
Also unity servers are not sharing the same active directory ( some are voicemail only servers and some are unified.)
Thanks in advance

Yes, this model would be referred to as Distributed Messaging and Centralized Call Processing. You should read through the Unity Design Guide, particularly Chapter 2: Network and Infrastructure Considerations.
Also, you'll use Voicemail Profiles in CCM to ensure calls are routed to the correct Unity box. Each port of Unity be roughly equivalent to an IP phone with respect to bandwidth to the central CCM.

Dont see a reason why it shouldnt work, as long as voice mail ports/mwi numbers, pilot numbers etc , do not overlap. On the phone line settings, instead of checking the option to forward NOAN and Busy to Voicemail (checkbox), forward it specifically to the VM pilot number of the appropriate Unity server.
6000 for Unity1
7000 for Unity2
8000 for Unity3
6000,7000, 8000 are route patterns, pointing to line groups which hunt the appropriate VM ports to each Unity server.
