CIsco 2821 gateway not taking voice related commands

Dear all,

I am trying to setup a Cisco 2821 router as a voice gateway to connect to PSTN (ISDN PRI). I am seeing an issue wherein the router CLI Not taking many of the voice related commands.

1) Scenario 1

Hardware config of the router-

Cisco 2821 with NM-HDV / VWIC-1MFT-E1

PVDM-12 - 3 nos

IOS- c2800nm-spservicesk9-mz.124-12c.bin

Router not taking 'card type E1' and ISDN related commands such as ISDN switch type, interface Serial 1/0/0:15, voice-port 1/0/0:15.

2) Scenario 2

Hardware config of the router-

Cisco 2821 with VWIC-1MFT-T1/E1

There are no PVDMs.

IOS- c2800nm-spservicesk9-mz.124-15.T12

Router not taking 'voice-port' command and in dial-peer voice pots mode, the 'port' command is not shown at all.

ANy clues as to why this is happening?

You need PVDM to enable voice port.

Note: sending show tech is not needed in elementary cases like this.

As per original post, PVDM-12 - 3 nos. So Sh tech will give all the details about the PVDm status and the configuration.

Again: it is not needed to  produce such an huge output for such an elementary case. e,g, "Show inventory" is enough.
