Is it possible to have the phone ring through the headset port only when the phone is idle? This ability was requested for a high density callcenter where phone rings are distracting and where agents use a dual earpiece headset.
On the CCMAdmin go to Device --> Phone, select the phone were you want to apply this change. Then go to each of the lines.
Under Line Settings for this Device you should see these settings:
Ring Setting (Phone Idle)
Ring Setting (Phone Active)**
You can select between flash only, beep, ring, ring once for each line.
Thanks for your response. I hqave looked at that option but that will not stop the phone ring when it is idle. It will still sound through the phone speaker.
This is a common function with other popular Callcenter products, except Cisco and IPCC. Also, having the callcenter application 'whisper' information through the headset as a phone ring is common also, but not with Cisco and IPCC.
