Hi,
I have a 2 callmanager cluster and a stand alone IPCC express. (ccm3.3(3)sr2 & CSA & backup 3.5.44, CRA3.1(1)sr2 & backup 3.5.44(target) all with Symantec anti-virus)
Added the IPCC express as CRA target on the callmanager.
The backup fails on cra:

Hi,
The following URL gives a describtion about the Backup and restore utility...
http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/voice/backup/br3552/br3548.htm
The error looks like, the backup server could not connect to CRS database. Check out if configured credentials to connect CRS database is valid.

Hi,
Please carry out the following sequence of checks and if problem still persists, please open a TAC case.
1) Is stiBackup installed as 'Backup target' on the CRA server?
If your backup server and CRA server are different machines the backup software has to be
installed on both; as 'Backup Server' on the machine that conducts the backup and as 'Backup Target'
on the machine that needs to be backed up.
2) Synchronize the BackAdmin Passwords on the two systems.
3) Verify that the Backup Server can access the Backup Target using the BackAdmin Account - This can
be done by right clicking on the backup utility icon running in the system tray on the Backup
Server, choosing Configure Settings, choosing the CRA tab, then entering in the necessary info in
the Authentication and Verification section.
4) Verify that the stiBack for Cisco IP Telephony Applications Service is running and that it also
is using the BackAdmin account and synchronized password.
For your reference the following link explains the install of the backup and recovery tool for the CRA side.
This section advises to configure this utility as a backup target to an existing backup server.

Venkat

thanks, it's working now....
I used the backadmin account, didn't validate...
uninstalled the backup from cra, reinstalled with correct backadmin phrase..not validated....but installed anyway...
then changed the password from MMC...and it worked!
it looks like that the password is not delivered correct to windows from the cisco installer...!!!
