Does anyone know if the power injectors for the 1200 series access points will power any of the Cisco IP phones reliably? If not, is there a power injector available or planned for the phones? The 48 port inline power patch panel is a little overkill for about 5 phones, and using the power cube at the desktop is a poor option.
Thanks in advance!

The power injectors are strictly for the Access Points.
They don't do phone discovery and may provide different power levels so you might damage your equipment if you use something else with it other than APs.

I believe you can use PowerDsine Mid-Span power injection switches with a 'dongle' that switches the polarity on the power. www.powerdsine.com

We've been using the power injectors on the 7900 series phones at one of our small remote sites for about a year now and they work great!

we use the power injectors for the access points on our 7900 series phones and it works great too... the voltage spec for both the access points and the 7900's is 48VDC.
