Is it possible to provide simple T1 voice trunking between two Definity PBX's using the WS-X6608-T1 module, one per Cat 6500 with the 6500's connected via Gigabit ethernet without using Call manager or any other components other than the 6500's and the WS-X6608-T1 modules?

3gcasper,
I haven't checked the specific module you mentioned. I'm assuming this card has the DSP chips to do VoIP analog to digital conversion. But many companies use a setup like this to do "toll bypass". Calls forwarded from the PBX are digitized into VoIP data packets and sent (across the data network) to other VoIP devices according to the dial plan. The receiving VoIP device converts the call back to analog and sends it on the voice trunk to the local BPX.

As far as i know you need to have Call Manager to use the Ws-X6608 blade. Unlike a router or the AGM module the 6500 T1 blade does not have an IOS that you configure and i do not know of any way to put an IOS on them.
