Cisco Call Manager 4.1

Cisco Unity Version 4.0 build number 4.0(4).

DDI Number - 619 1444 where 1444 is the Cisco Phone Extension Number.

Unanswered external calls made to DDI number transfers to users Unity Voice Mail Account having dialled 619 1444. This is intended.

Unanswered internal calls to extension 1444 also divert to the Voice mail Account. Intended.

Call made to old Exchange Line which used to reside on previous PABX and is now diverted at local exchange to divert to new DDI number above. Divert is OK as new DDI number rings but if unanswered does not divert to users Unity Voice Mail account. Instead the caller is greeted with the default Welcome message "Hello Cisco Unity Messaging System, from a touch tone telephone......."

You need to add the old number as an alternate extension to the subscriber in Unity. The LEC is sending you redirecting number info on your PRI, so Unity knows the number that was originally dialed.

You could also fix it by going to the gateway config and blocking redirecting number inbound, but this can be useful sometimes, so better to just add the alternate number in Unity.

I am kinda new here and to call manager but have been a pbx tech before... sounds like the digits of the old pbx lines are fowarding to the voicemail as well causing it not to got to the correct box... just a thought
