Upgrade 4305G from 5.1 to 5.2 problem.

Dear All,

Did everyone using DMP version 5.2  I have DMP version 5.1 and upgrade firmware to 5.2. I found a lot of problem from DMPDM.

etc.

     - Reboot command cause DMP hang.

     - Play file from local storage or url work only 1st time.

I don't know that everyone got same problems as me or not?

Hi,

Everytime I upgrade found same problem. I didn't upgrade Kernel since my DMM-VMWARE function upgrade firmware is not available.

Do you have any instruction to upgrade directly from DMP dashboard or API port.

You can upgrade the firmware via the ADVANCED TASKS in the DMM-DSM of the

VMware copy of DMM.

Please upgrade KERNEL firmware first.  After the Kernel has been upgraded, please

upgrade the Firmware to 5.2 and see if the problems continue...

I am starting to do the upgrade process for my dmm from 5.1 to 5.2

I am stuck at the upgrade the kernal/firmware step for my 4305 DMP.

When I load the kernal into the server, the step says on page 19 Step 2.e to check Is Kernal Upgrade?

On my system, there is no such display.  Is this maybe a 5.2 feature?

Also when I try to create the firmware upgrade advanced task, I can not select the firmware file to use.  The boxes are not highlighted to select.

Have not opened TAC case yet.  Thought I should check here first.

you are using.

I just see your picture. In Advance task can you mark checkbox firmware file?? Do you use VMware or Appliance from Cisco?

Just finished talking to TAC.

The issue is that, for this Advanced task, you just highlight the line and not check the box.  Something that would have been good to have in the documentation.

Still the other confussion on loading the files up to the dmm, again, documentation error.

To be clear and to clarify, you still need to check the box.  Look at my picture that

i uploaded.

the CHECK BOX is for the Question "Is Kernel Upgrade?"  not the "available

content"  for Available content you just hight the image to use as shown

in the picture that I uploaded.

Now I understand. You are correct. Actually no need to check checkbox but just hilight Kernel line if we want to upgrade kernel and just hilight firmware if we want to upgrade firmware.

After upgraded DMP firmware from 5.1 to 5.2, I experience same problem like Sukiti, my DMP (firmware 5.2) always hang if I restart the DMP from DMP-DM and also the url to browse to DMP-DM is change to https:///

Can we solve the problem with only upgrade the kernel DMP from DMM like Tomas say ?
