For some reason, our "receptionist" phone, x2000, got into a weird state yesterday afternoon (around 4:30). Neither resetting the phone, by disconnecting/connecting the cable or resetting from Unity Express cleared the problem. Then, rebooting the whole phone system did not correct the problem. The phone just displayed the Cisco logo. When I looked on the 2800 router, it appeared that the phone was assigned 2 IP addresses, 10.20.1.51 and 10.20.1.96.
This morning the phone was back to normal and I see only one IP address assigned, 10.20.1.51. What would have caused it to be assigned 2 IPs and why wouldn't resetting clear the problem?
Thank you,
Iliana Dorsey
