Does the CW2000 suite include the SNMP Management System? If it does not, can some one please recommend an NMS that would work with the CW2000 for SNMP operation?
Thanks.

what SNMP operation are you refering to ?
polling the devices ?
monitor interface changes ?
monitor devices and interfaces ? (traffic,cpu...etc..)
or ... ?

Not sure what you mean by "Does the CW2000 suite include the SNMP Management System"?. It does use SNMP to monitor the devices. What exactly are you looking for?

Sorry for the ambiguity. What I am looking for is to determine whether CW 2000
can receive traps and send alarms or an email to a specific destinantin, such as a cell phone?
Thanks.

- RME comes with syslog daemon, so it can be used as a syslog server.
- DFM can receive traps but can not display them. It can not be used as same as OV. The best it can do is convert certain traps to alarms and show up in "monitoring console" or send you an email if you have mail notifier setup.
- If you need snmpwalk utility, yes there is one for CW2000. you need to open a TAC case to request it.

You don't need to open a TAC Case to get the snmpwalk utility for CW2000. It's available from: http://sourceforge.net/projects/cosi-nms

Well, there you go. If you know that JT is actually the snmpwalk util for CW2000, you can go directly to the url to download.

It says there on the page "JT: SNMPWALK for CiscoWorks 2000" :-)
