Linking remote devices to 3750 through 10 meg media converters, remote locations are unable to pass any data ?? I have confirmed this sinario on 2 different 3750's. Any idea's ?? The 3750 replaced a 29XX series that worked with no problems ??

Can you see the remote device via cdp ? Did you match the speed and duplex settings of the old 2900 ? Did you make the port a switchport on the 3750 ?? Can you post the port settings for the 3750 ??

The remote devices are not cisco equipment, the port is configured for the following...

speed 10

duplex half

switchport mode access

no ip address

the configuration is the following...

3750 switch port ---- 10bt/10bfl converter ----fiber --- 10bfl/aui converter ---- aui uplinked 10meg hub....

When all links are up the 3750 never shows a mac address associated with the switchport..

Same said switchport will work correctly when device is directly attached to port..

Not sure , are you waiting long enough for spanning tree to run once you connect the link , normally about 40-50 seconds . If you can't see cdp then you aren't even getting layer 2 across the link . If you do a "show interface status does it show connect for the port that the converter is on? This sounds like an issue between the 3750 and the converter , not sure if you have any options on the converter or not . You could also try putting the MDIX auto setting on the port and see if that helps.

Waited long enough, even attempted with portfast enabled, Switch port is seeing an up state, but did notice that when the connection is up, there are no mac-addresses associtated with the port ?? There are several devices on the link yet none show up ?? I will try the auto-mdix, currently it is disabled, and I am using the mdix/mdi switch on the media converter...
