Hi,
I have VSOM with multiple VSMSes. I have servers that one is VSOM and VSMS ,and other are VSMSes. I have a question that If my VSOM server is down. ,will other VSMS servers still archived video? In my understanding, VSOM just a web interface to manage and control the system, isn't it?
Thank you very much.

Hi Bintasan,
The VSMS servers will continue to archive the video feeds but you will not be able to view them until the VSOM comes back up.

mcwalter is correct.
Further to this, Cisco's stance on High Availability within VSM is pretty... unique... at the moment. It appears that while they have developed multiple forms of HA / Fault Tolerance for the VSMS component of the solution, they are currently relying exclusively on VMWares VMotion/HA for "whole VSOM" fault tolerance. This may be fine for extremely large deployments, but for smaller deployments we've found it's quite cost prohibitive for a remote site that requires *local VSOM* HA. :-S
/rant :-P
Cheers!

May be you are about VSM 7? As i know - VSM 6 is not supported HA.
