Connect RV082 WAN2/DMZ Port to Network

I want to use WAN2 in DMZ mode on my RV082 router.  I want to connect this to a router which will go to another network.

So it will look like this:

LAN1 192.168.188.0

|

|

|

RV082--------------WAN1 Internet

WAN2/DMZ

192.168.177.1

|

|

|

192.168.177.2

Router

192.168.166.1

|

|

|

LAN2

192.168.166.0

So if you are on LAN1, you can go to the internet or go to 192.168.166.0 through the DMZ port.  I have created a rule for the DMZ port so all traffic is allowed, and also added a route to the RV082 telling it how to get to LAN2.

Does anyone know if this is possible?

UPDATE: This does not work.  In case anyone else tries this, it is not possible with this model of router.  The RV082 has to either be in gateway or router mode.  In gateway mode, it is doing NAT, and the DMZ will not route correctly to the other LAN.  In router mode, the DMZ does route correctly to the other LAN, but the internet will not work because NAT is turned off.  We had to add a second RV082 to the configuration to get this working.  It cannot be done with 1 RV082.

Good morning

Thanks for using our forum

My name is Johnnatan and I am part of the Small business Support community. To add to Eric post, no, it doesn´twork, however a possible solution could be to get a another device that has more DMZ port, such the ISA500

I hope you find this answer useful,

Cisco has a very useful tool called GuideMe, is made for small business products, and your device is in this category, you can use this address for accessing the tool: http://sbkb.cisco.com/CiscoSB/Loginr.aspx?alt1=&pid=4&eroute=Super , is very easy to use, just complete the 3 spaces on this way:

Select a category: (Select the device type on request), e.g. Routers

Enter model: (Type the model on request), e.g. RV042

Question: (Type what you want to know about the device), e.g. VPN

And it'll be showing all the information you need about what you wrote.
