Hello

I have TFTP server running

I can ping between router and laptop

Both interfaces are hard coded for gig/full

There is (6001291264 bytes free) on ASR

Image is asr1002x-universalk9.03.12.01.S.154-2.S1-std.SPA.bin (401,851kb)

I use copy tftp: bootflash: command

ASR1002x#copy tftp: bootflash:
Address or name of remote host []? 1.1.1.2
Source filename []? asr1002x-universalk9.03.12.01.S.154-2.S1-std.SPA.bin
Destination filename [asr1002x-universalk9.03.12.01.S.154-2.S1-std.SPA.bin]?
Accessing tftp://1.1.1.2/asr1002x-universalk9.03.12.01.S.154-2.S1-std.SPA.bin...
%Error opening tftp://1.1.1.2/asr1002x-universalk9.03.12.01.S.154-2.S1-std.SPA.bin (Timed out)
MMC-ASR1002x#

Please provide some expert guidance on how to resolve this.

Very difficult to say without further debugging, but one thing that does spring to mind is the management VRF on the ASR. If you are using the Gig0 interface on the ASR, make sure that you have the config listed at:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/routers/asr1000/configuration/guide/chassis/Management_Ethernet.html#wp1065360

Thank you for the response. May best to just use the management int, gi0, for this?

I am currently using Gi0/0/5
