Hi All,
I have a Cisco 2951 router with SM-Switch Module and it rebooted 2 times today morning ... Here I attached the latest crash info file.
Following are the crash details collected from the file.
Jun 4 00:57:22.660 UTC: %MAINBOARD-2-PARITY: An uncorrectable parity error has occurred in the TDM Switch component at location 0xE040.
%Software-forced reload
Appreciate if any one can explain the exact cause for this issue.
Version :- c2951-universalk9-mz.SPA.154-3.M2.bin
Cisco 2951 + SM-ES3G-24-P: EtherSwitch SM L3 + POE + 24 10/100/1000

You need to TAC/RMA that with Cisco it will keep happening , we had mainboard parity error before on another 2900 series routers , Cisco replaced it straight away
As well crash outputs can only be advised upon by TAC the tool they use to identify exactly what causes crashes is not available to the general public

Hi,
This is a result of parity error (in other words memory corruption due to bit flip eg. a 0 becomes 1 or 1 becomes 0 etc), To recover from this the router crashes.
If it happens more than once in short period of time, please RMA the box.
Thanks,
Madhu.

Ok I see it alreadt crashed twice. So if both crashfiles say the same thing, you could RMA it.
Hope this helps and kindly remember to rate all useful posts.
Thanks
