Hello All,
We are having a problem about VPN, our system works like this,
we have an ADSL line and modem which is working in Bridge mode and we make a netwrok connection over Cisco 800 Router by VPN. Sometimes VPN light becomes down and we try to restart all devices (modem and router) but it isn't solve our problem and VPN couldn't be up maybe 5 days or more, and then sometimes it came up and starts to work properly, PPP light is ok but we couldn't establish a VPN connection. Local provider said that we do not have any problem in our line. So what could be the problem and how can we solve it any suggestions please
Regards

Do the logs on the router show that the circuit did not drop
You could try run ip sla with interesting traffic from the vpn allowed subnets to keep the vpn up but if the line is failing the vpn will fail
The fact the vpn is coming back by itself suggests the config is good so you need to find whats causing it to fail ,usually a dropped line is the cause but you can check the logging in the router and run some debugs to try and capture whats happening
vpn will not come backup after a failure until interesting traffic hits the router thats part of the vpn subnets
