We have Cisco ISR 4461 with isr4400v2-universalk9.17.06.03a.SPA.bin ISO image, we need to implement the SSL VPN feature so we find that we need to upgrade to Cupertino-17.7.1a ISO.
https://software.cisco.com/download/home/286320564/type/282046477/release/Cupertino-17.7.1a
when we are doing the upgrade we get the booter to fail, what do we do exactly?
kind regards

- Check Release Notes for targeted version (to be installed) ; look for ROMMON and or verify if rommon needs to be upgraded first (e,g.)

If you upgrading from 17.6. to 17.7 that is ok mostly ROMMON Upgraded when you upgraded to 17.6 version.
Error was not able to find the image ?
the image download page show - isr4400v2-universalk9.17.07.01a.SPA.bin (did you downloaded the right image ?)
Suggest to upgrade to 17.9.4a is stable version and cisco suggest for the same
Get in to ROMMON and check the file in the flash and check and boot command right image name.
also suggest to install mode rather than bundle is suggested method.

Hi, It looks like you might have downloaded the wrong image. The image name should have a v2 for the 4461.

isr4400v2-universalk9.17.07.01a.SPA.bin
