Hi Everyone,
We already have a 1G Direct Connect to AWS setup but we are urgently looking to upgrade this to 10G. This means that we need to upgrade our existing Cisco 1900 router to a 10G router. I am having a bit of trouble finding a router with all the specifications/add ons that are required. What makes it even more difficult, Amazon can't specify some example router models etc.
The specifications I need the router to have are:
- AWS side needs single mode fibre, 10GBASE-LR
- BGP and BGP MD5 auth
- 802.1Q VLANs
If anyone could give some guidance, other than asking a supplier, which I am currently doing, then I would appreciate it.

1900 dont have 1G throughput, do you need just 10G interface or you want 10G interface with full throughput.
have a look at ASR1001-X, this may fit your requirement.
