How to check switch port uptime its urgent.

I have 4510 cisco switch. One of the switch port was down last nigt for few time and now its up. So my customer is asking me how long it is up. i mean its up time how long. How can i get this information with out syslog server.

take a look at switch log, if it has not been flushed you will be able to see when it went down and when it came up.

You can use show version or snmpwalk of the MIB Object sysUpTime.

However, keep in mind that that sysUpTime is a 32 bit counter and will wrap after 497 days and start over again at 0.

You can do a show int link command and see the port is up. Logs will show when the port transitioned to up. The interface link command is best used to show how long a port has been down.

scroll to the Statistics section you will see;
