I have a number of VLANs currently operating on our LAN switches. I need to extend one of the VLANs to a remote site using a T1 link with a 7204VXR and 2811 routers. How do I configure the routers for the VLAN traffic?

Kim,
There is a way to do this but I think it is a Padora's box best left unopened. But since you asked, what you need to do is bridge the T1 connection so that it becomes a layer two link and then you can trunk vlans to your heart's content.
Config example:

Hi there,
We have worked around this issue, using a tweak solution called Ethernet/E1 converter:
Router1-FE --> Converter1 --> E1 --> Converter2 --> FE-Router2

Hi, kreiss
Nowadays, many carriers and ISPs provide services like Ethernet over SDH.(I just implemented one case yesterday). One benifit of this kind of service is that you don't need routers between those sites. The down side is that it doesn't provide any layer 2 function. It's just a distance extension of your lan to other site. Of course, the price could be a bit higher than the T1's link.
