Hi,

We are having 2 cisco 4500 switches running VSS. Both switches running on IOS cat4500e-universal.SPA.03.04.00.SG.151-2.SG.bin,1, which didnt support SSH.

I want to enable SSH on this switch so i uploded new image cat4500e-universalk9.SPA.03.04.00.SG.151-2.SG.bin to both switches.

Now i want to upgrade swicthes to new version. but the problem is i dont want to have downtime.

is it possible to load image on standby switch 1st ,reload that switch so it will boot with new image. & then make standby switch active & perform same steps on new standby switch? so that we dont have downtime.

Can anyone help me with this case?

Thanks .

If you have single home devices connected to a switch, they will lose network connectivity during the switch reboot.
