Can 802.1q trunks links support IPX encapsulation 802.2? Where can I get more information on IPX Vlans?

Bwana Nyatoti,
Hii mambo inawezekana: yes, 802.1q trunks links do support IPX. Please see http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/iosswrel/ps1830/products_feature_guide09186a008008742b.html#29825.
Josef.

Thanks for the reply. This url seems to suggest that 802.1q trunks support Novell Ethernet_802.3 encapsulation frames routing using IEEE 802.1Q encapsulation across VLAN boundaries.
Can IEEE 802.1Q trunk links support Novell Ethernet_802.2 encapsulation frames routing across VLAN boundaries?

IEEE 802.1Q trunking supports AppleTalk, IP and IPX routing (http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/iosswrel/ps1830/products_feature_guide09186a008008742b.html#4400).
What do you want to do?
Josef.

Were you ever able to find the answer. I'm having the same problem. 802.1q does not seem to work with Novell Ethernet_802.2. The cisco documentation shows it will work with 802.3 but have not found anything showing support for 802.2
