"system mtu routing 1500" cmd not found on new 3650 48-port?

Hello, I am configuring new 48 port 3650 (15.0) and the command in a template is "system mtu routing 1500". I did configure an int vlan but left it shut down with no ip address and that command still did not go through. It seems that command is not accepted in this switch. I know the default mtu is 1500 but if I don't specify it in the "system mtu routing 1500" command, will it cause an issue?

Hi system mtu routing is a global command it does not apply to SVI interfaces only physical interfaces

I have this exact same problem except I am running this IOS: cat3k_caa-universalk9.SPA.03.06.04.E.152-2.E4.  I am running the command from global mode.

Any clues anyone?
