SG350 netbios problems between vlans

hello community

Is it possible to transfer netbios from vlan to vlan with the sg350 series.

Situation:
SG350-28MP as (Layer3) to two SG350-10MP as (Layer2)
There are 5 VLans with active DHCP on the SG350-28MP Layer3.

Core Layer3 IP: 10.26.1.254/24
Access SW01 IP: 10.26.1.1/24
Access SW02 IP: 10.26.1.2/24
VLan1 Default GW 10.26.1.254 / no DHCP / DNS ISP Router 192.168.1.1/24
VLan10 10.26.10.0/24 DHCP enabled GW/DHCP 10.26.10.254 / DNS ISP Router 192.168.1.1/24
VLan20 10.26.20.0/24 DHCP enabled GW/DHCP 10.26.20.254 / DNS ISP Router 192.168.1.1/24
VLan30 10.26.30.0/24 DHCP enabled GW/DHCP 10.26.30.254 / DNS ISP Router 192.168.1.1/24
VLan40 10.26.40.0/24 DHCP enabled GW/DHCP 10.26.40.254 / DNS ISP Router 192.168.1.1/24
VLan99 10.26.99.0/24 Transfer VLan to the LAN / ISP Router
The routing between the VLans works perfectly and no problems with DHCP either.

I tried it via UDP Relay / IP Helper (port 137 netbios-ns), without success.

Tests directly on the layer3 switch and not over Uplink Trunk to the Access Switches.
ip helper-address all 10.26.1.254 137,138
ip helper-address 10.26.20.254 10.26.1.254 137,138
or
ip helper-address all 10.26.255.255 137,138
etc.

Maybe it is not possible with the existing DHCP options of the SG350.
I'm stuck, does anyone have an idea or even the solution?

Thank you for your answer.
regards
ukb

Normal Switch we use ip direct broadcast  - try below command on the interface :

directed-broadcast

SG serie does not accept in the CLI "ip directed-broadcast"

Hello,

what exactly do you mean by 'transfer netbios from vlan to vlan' ? By default, there are no restrictions for inter-Vlan traffic.

Inter vlan is not the problem, thats works fine.

Example:
Client (vlan10) share (vlan20)
UNC path

\\Hostname\share => that's what i mean
an not
\\ip-address\share

Hello,

understood. Try and configure UDP Relay/IP Helper on the SG350 (link below), an alternative would be (if your hosts are Windows host) to configure them as H-Node hosts, so they contact the WINS server directly first...

So why do you need NetBIOS on your network devices, this is down to your client not registering with it respective dns/wins servers, Now are you saying this isnt happening?
As test you can locally amend the hosts, lmhosts file of your pc and I am sure it will resolve any device you add to it.

Going forward you need to find out why your devices are not successfully being registered to the dns/wins servers – Where is DHCP being serviced is its on the rtr then that is a possible root cause, if you want DHCP/DNS/WINS to work centrally then I would suggest implement a central service on a dedicated server and not on a rtr, which can perform these services but its not recommended
