I had a question, I have a cisco 9300 that is used as the main core switch in the building. I have an unmanaged Blackbox switch in another office that I need to carry vlans from 9300 to. Is it possible to set a trunk port on my cisco and a blackbox to carry vlans and traffic?

Thanks for the response, so I know the Cisco will be fine the black box i don't know much about but it is a BlackBox LGB524A - Unmanaged Gigabit Swithc with SFP Uplinks. I googled the switch but don't know what I need to look at to see if it is able to handle trunking.

unfortunatly there is no option for you to pass the VLANS (which the switch done understand)

now a days most of the switches are chepear which does support trunk, if that is your requirement then suggest to buy one.

Blackbox 624 model support trunk.

Thanks for your help.

If unmanaged SW not support trunk'

But support vlan per port

Then use one port in unmanaged SW for each vlan in cisco SW
