Hi Guys,
Is it possible to use inter-vlan routing in the attached topology.I want the two servers to be able to communicate through the default gateways configured on the Nexus switch/es.After I achieve basic
inter-vlan routing,I would prefer to have HSRP at a later stage for more redundancy.
Thank you in advance.

Yes, the vpc peer-link would be carrier of the hsrp hello.
No, you don't need to track fex interfaces, that will be automatic by the nexus.

Hi
Yes it's possible. But you have to configure hsrp from the beginning, otherwise traffic that ends up in the "wrong" switch will not be routed.
With wrong I mean, traffic from servers can use both uplinks because of the portchannel. And if taffic comes to the switch that is not configured with the vlan routing.

Thank you for your response Mikael.
If i were to use HSRP,which link would be used for the HSRP keep-alives? Do the HSRP keep-alives use the vPC peer-link? If so,would I have to use object-tracking as well so I can monitor the failure of a link that connects to a FEX?
Rgds,
Jay
