ASA 5506 Smartnet Solution

Hi, 

I bought a used ASA as a home appliance. I would also like to buy a Smartnet solution for this. Is that still possible? unfortunately I don't have an existing service contract. Does that means that is no longer possible?

Hi,

The ASA 5506 FTD is end of life but the ASA5506 with asa software is still supported. You could  install asa software on your device and get it on smartnet.

Thanks for your Answer. How about the other licenses. If I buy a tac license do I have access to the entire software database? For example firmware updates. I am not concerned with the guarantee but rather with the updates.

You will need to buy smartnet for the device to get access to software updates.
