Duplicates due to inventory source?

if the same S/N is uploaded via CSPC, Solar Winds and File Import, will it show up multiple times in the portal as a duplicate/triplicate? How would the portal handle this scenario?

I believe  that If the “exact” item is uploaded, it should not be duplicated.  If the item does appear twice then maybe some attribute differed.

I had an instance the validated SN differed for some reason so appeared twice.
