SNTC Not Internally Consistent with Inventory and Alerting

For whatever reason, it would seem the below thread is considered closed:

https://community.cisco.com/t5/smart-net-total-care-portal-and/missing-data-with-latest-uploads/m-p/3748055

and CSCvn48271 is being considered fixed.  Per the request at the end of the aforementioned thread here is the examples of what is continuing to happen:

Upload goes through:

SNTC - Inventory - Upload.PNG

Example of one alert (Software EoX for 15.5(3)M) indicates 640 devices for said alert:

SNTC - Alert Discrepancy.PNG

Filter on said software version denotes 1112 devices running this code:

SNTC - Inventory - Software Filter.PNG

Manually run reports per suggested workaround in CSCvn48271:

SNTC - Reports.PNG

Data reflects the same number as the Alerts page:

SNTC - Reports - Manual generation.PNG

No other software alerts show up on the portal page, but manual report indicates another 110 devices with Software EoX Alerts:

SNTC - Reports - Manual generation 2.PNG

CSPC appliance indicates 1117 devices with this code is reachable as of its last collection:

SNTC - CSPC.PNG

EDIT:  The reason for the discrepancy between the CSPC Appliance and Inventory counts is because we have 5 devices that are running 15.5(3) code that isn't 15.5(3)M4a (the filter I used in the SNTC portal display).

Hey twylyghtcisco,

It appears the fix for CSCvn48271 has not been pushed to production yet. Currently the fix is being tested and when ready will be run in our production environment. I will keep you posted when that has occurred.

Thank you,

Brandon

Thank you sir.

Following the latest discovery of our inventory, it looks like the hardware portion of SmartNet alerting is re-aligned.  However, I am seeing some double-entries of our software now.  I will open another thread for that issue.

For now, the hardware alerting appears to be functioning as needed.  My thanks for the updates.
