Using hostname for SMTP server in CSPC Collector Issue

Using an IP for the SMTP Server address works, but using a hostname doesn't appear to. I believe DNS is working but can't seem to confirm. Suggestions?

Hello kstrahan,
You can use the CSPC diagnostic tool to try and ping a hostname. This will help give you details if the DNS is setup correctly. The tool is available in the Administration -> Diagnostic Tools page.

I receive an "invalid hostname error". Seems like DNS is not working. How/Where can I check it?

You can view DNS settings on the CSPC by logging into the CLI username "admin" and running the command "show ip". To make any changes to the DNS configs, you can use the command "conf dns *"
