Customer attempting to upgrade from 2.7.4 to 2.7.4.4 before proceeding to 2.8.0.1, it was stuck on apply-in-progress for well over an hour, then gave this error:
Should he just keep trying?

Hi ,
When upgrade is in progress, affected services will be restarted and box will be rebooted at the end of each patch installation. Please logout and login again , the pop shouldn't appear.
And time taken for installation of the patch depends on the data on the collector , it can take 2 hours or even more. so please wait .
To track the installation making sure it is in progress, login to CLI and use tailf /opt/LCM/logs/install for the logs.

The customer has logged out/in as suggested and the update has now been stuck for 5+ days.

can you please share the logs -
1. /opt/LCM/logs/install
2. /opt/LCM/logs/apply
To check and update with the steps to take in order resolve it .

can you go over the CLI interface as admin,
show download progress
show download
This way you can see that status of that update process.
