Cisco Security Advisory Alert Notification
February 22, 2021 - In response to Cisco Security Advisory CVE-2021-3156 Sudo Privilege Escalation Vulnerability, Cisco has provided a patch for the CSPC Collector version 2.9/220.127.116.11. The patch release is available to download in the Software Download center. Please review the CSPC 18.104.22.168 Release Notes for available resources.
Cisco recommends that customers and partners always run the latest version of CSPC Collector.
CSPC 2.9 Migration Guide is now Available
Cisco has made available the CSPC 2.9 Migration Guide to assist CSPC 2.8 Installations with upgrading to CSPC 2.9. All customers will be required to install CSPC 2.9 as the underlying OS version (CentOS 6) is approaching EoL in November 2020.

Cisco Common Services Platform Collector (CSCP) 2.9 Release Announcement - Upgrade Required
September 25, 2020, Cisco is pleased to announce the release of CSPC 2.9. CSPC 2.9 is required for all new installations. For existing CSPC 2.8 installations, migration scripts are now available. All customers will be required to install CSPC 2.9 as the underlying OS version (CentOS 6) is approaching EoL in November 2020. With this release, support for CSPC 2.7 will be discontinued.
We addressed several critical security vulnerabilities and important defects in this release. CSPC 2.9 is now powered by Cent OS 8 and VMware ESXi 6.5(applicable to hardware appliance). For additional Information please refer to the CSCP 2.9 Release Notes.
