Hello all,
I am trying to configure Port Mirroring on a Cisco SG300 using the switch Web Interface.
I go to Administration>Diagnostics>Port and VLAN Mirroring.
When I configure source and destination interface and click Apply I get the following error
Port gi1 belongs to a VLAN.. |
(Port gi1 is the source port in this case)
It does not matter if source and destination ports are on the same VLAN, the error message appears anyway.
Any ideas out here of what might be wrong?
Will the configuration be successful if I implement it in CLI?
Thanks in advance
Salvatore

it suggested that if the interface belong to VLAN you should select VLAN rather interface.

Thanks a lot.
That will probably work, but I used the CLI to configure what I needed.
Now port mirroring works fine and as expected.
Thanks for replying.

You need to select the Destination Interface not part of VLAN or in the Trunk.
make sure you select Source and Destination Seperate interfaces.

Hey BB,
I provide two snapshots. The first ("config") shows what I configure and the second ("error") shows the error I get.
It is obvious that I configure different interfaces as source and destination.
Both interfaces belong to the same VLAN but the same error pops up when configuring source and destination on different VLANs.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
