MGBSX1 and maximum distance on CISCO SG300-10SFP-K9-EU

Hi,

reading this page: http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/switches/small-business-smart-switches/data_sheet_c78-610061.html ; I noticed that there is written that the MGBSX1 maximum distance on SG300 or SF300 Series is 300 meters.

On the same page there is written that the MGBSX1 support up to 550 m. What is the right value? The distance depends on the switch?

Hi,

MGBSX1 over multimode cable for 1000BASE speed  it supports from 220 to 550 meters(Based on fiber diameter and bandwidth).
