SG112-24 LED Light Indicator

I have a Cisco 112-24 and trying to verify the meaning of the LED lights since this is an unmanaged device and I can't get any other details.

Per the online docs, I see the LED indicators are:

  • System/PWR, link/activity, 100M,*PoE, *mMax PoE, cable diagnostics, loop detection, gigabit,* mini-GBIC* (*if present)

I found a post which indicated what the left and right lights indicated...

Left Flash Green; Right Solid Green; = 1G Activity

Left Flash Green; Right OFF; = 10/100 Activity

Left Flashing Amber; Right Solid Green; = Network Loop and to verify cable issue

Left Solid Amber; Right OFF; = POE device or device not linked anymore

My Cisco SG112-24 has a Left Flashing Amber Light (Consistent blinking) and the Right has a Solid Green.  Per the above there is a network loop or a cable issue.  When I look, this cable is directly connected to another switch (only cable going out to another switch) and everything else are workstations.  I don't have any connectivity issues and I can get internet speeds of 600+ MB.

My question is the light on my Cisco SG112-24 pointing to an issue or does this light scheme mean something else? It would help if Cisco provided this on the user guide for these. I have not been a fan of unmanaged switches as I don't think they provide insight on details if there is a problem or not.

Any help is much appreciated!

Thanks,

Tim

Hi,

have you tried rebooting switch? if not remove power and turn on back after 10 minutes. if the issue is same, contact cisco TAC. becasue this is unmanageable switch, we cannot do much in troubleshoot.

Please rate this and mark as solution/answer, if this resolved your issue
Good luck
