The same problem that plagued the SGE series switches also does not work on the SG500 series switches.

Trying to UDP relay port 123 (NTP).

For what it's worth, I think I'm having the same problem you are.  I'm basically able to resolve it by having a local Linux box running smcroute (http://www.cschill.de/smcroute/), though that's obviously not the most elegant solution.

Hi, the reason the service is busy is because it is being utilized. If you navigate to Security -> TCP/UDP Services you'll notice the port 123 as an active service on the UDP section.

I guess the solution would be to disable UDP on the switch but the next question is how?

I'm trying to figure it out now.

Edit- I can't see a way to make the UDP 123 go away but I had a thought. Perhaps use DHCP option 4 within the switch DHCP server. Of course this may have other unwanted implications but I do not see a work around.

Could you raise this issue to engineering?

I mean, its one of the predefined services.

Plus this is a pretty common service to propagate.

Yeah I have. I'll post back when I hear something (so long as my memory doesn't fail me)
