Upgrading SG300 firmware from 1.3.5.58 problem

Hello,

We have two new SG300 managed switches. I've upgraded the firmware from the stock to 1.3.5.58 with no problem but when I go to upgrade to the newest firmware - 1.4.x I get the following error on both switches:

Files Transferred:  7011840
Status:  Copy failed
Error Message:  Copy: SW code file is over sized

Any idea what is wrong? I can't find any option to delete older images. Thanks,

Hello,

do you do the upgrade through the web interface? I did the upgrade from 1.3.7.18 without any issues.

What is your bootloader version? "Show version" on the command line.

kind regards

Lukasz

To upgrade the bootloader through TFTP server on the GUI, see details in

Yes, thanks to both of you for pointing me in the right direction. I missed the readme note that said you had to upgrade the bootloader to a higher version. Once I did that with tftp I was able to correct the problem. Thanks again.
