Scenerio:-
A 2821 with HWIC-1GE-SFP module(G0/1).
A 3560(WS-C3560G-48TS-E) with (SFP) fibre between the two devices.
On the 3560 (G0/49)receiving lots of "pause frames".
On the 2821 lots of "pause outputs" on the Gig0/1 interface.
No other errors on either device, input/output,crc etc..all clean.
Flow control is now manually set on the 2960 (flowcontrol receive on).
My question is over the G0/1 interface on the 2821. How do you configure flow control on the receive.?
Thanks

That command is only available in switches:

The pause frame packets from the switch will be ignored by the router interface.
If you want to implement flow control between two devices, you need a switch-to-switch connectivity.

Edison,
Thanks for the information.
So there is "no way" to control "flow control" from the 2821 Gigabit port?
So reading between the lines. The result of a 2821 (HWIC-1GE-SFP) Gigabit interface connected to 3560 Gigabit interface "can" result in "pause frames".
The question remains is there a solution ?
Thanks in advance
Greg
