Hi
I need advise for how to do password recovery for 2911
The issue with me is how to send the break sequence
I tried using putty with setting > external commands > Break
Also tried
Break on keyboard
Also tried Esc and Ctrl+C
But till now I can't access Rommon
I think for take off the CF and reload the router and it'll come on Rommon but I think this router flash is internal
Please note that I'm accessing the router CLI through remote desktop that the router is in another country, so is this could affect the break sequence ?
If any one have an experience with 2911. plz advise
Thanks
Haitham

Haltham,
This is "old school".
ISR G1 (except the 800-series router) and ISR G2 (except the 800-series router) all come with CF. Without the CF, the router will boot into ROMmon.
The FASTEST and sure-fire way to get into ROMmon is to power down the router, eject the CF and power up the router. Once the router boots into ROMmon, insert the CF back in.

Hi Inayath and Leo
I have passed through all above steps
Also I think there is no external flash on 2911. it is on 2951 and may be 2921
My problem is that I'm controlling the router via remote desktop session and there is a guy at the remote site who do the reload for me
What do you think about this ?
Thanks

The CF is hidden behind a "cover" at the back. There are two CF slots per appliance.

Same thing. Get the guy at the other end to remove the CF.
