I have tried to follow the "Recovering Catalyst Fixed Configuration Switches from a Corrupted or Missing Image" tutorial shown below
https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/switches/catalyst-2950-series-switches/41845-192.html
however it still does not boot. Every time I run "boot flash:c3560-ipbasek9-mz.122-55.SE12.bin" (with the binary being one I downloaded from the official download page) it does 1 of 3 things
the 3 different outcomes are:
1) the loading bar shows, then immediately the switch's power is shut off for some reason.
2) the loading bar shows, then the SYST LED blinks indefinitely with no progress on the boot
and finally, with the 3rd outcome, it does the same as number 2 except the SYST LED is static on.
What would I do to fix this? Image attached is the steps I am following to boot. The binary is uploaded via XMODEM due to the absence of a USB port

Just found a 4th outcome, the boot just errors. This is the first time it has happened though.

- Post screenshot of the errors (too)

No errors are showing, It just says "An error occurred: Could not boot flash:c3560-ipbasek9-mz.122-55.SE12.bin"

- Verify md5sum of downloaded image from Cisco (downloads). 2) Try factory reset of the switch - if all of that does not help could be hardware problem of the device.

The checksum is correct. I am not sure how I would check this on the switch since the Verify command seems to be invalid.

- As Leo said , if the factory does not help , you need to replace the device

Sorry, I am really new to cisco. How would I perform a factory reset?

Do not waste any time.
RMA the switch while it is still doable.

Would it still be possible to RMA it? The switch is from 2006

- You may have a try here : https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/buy/product-returns-replacements-rma.html . not sure 'what will happen'....

Oh wait, this is a 3560. I thought you had a 3650.
Me bad!
