Hi,
Anyone know if the 3560 or 3750 "X" series support GRE.
I am pretty certain the older 3750-E does not support GRE (both in hardware and software)
Was hoping the new super duper X series do. If not, it could get expensive
Any advice appreciated.
thank you
Matt

No GRE support on these switches, sorry.

Use routers for that, not switches.

then my switching capacity goes from about 100 mpps to 1mpps.
If it wasn't for my GRE requirement, I could easily run a 3560X as my DMZ switxh and also as a BGP facing "router" (seeing as my ISP provides an ethernet port and I only need a single BGP default route, its an overkill to run a router).
Lok like I have to pucharse a router, just for GRE. Boo hoo.

Consider the ASR1K with ESP20 or a 6500 Switch.
