Hi All,
We currently have several 3750 switches spread between floors with dual fiber uplinks between each floor and the server room. I have been asked this question. Is it possible to get a stackwise cable that runs the entire length of floors to connect all of these switches together as one "switch" to get the benefit of the 32GB backplane. At what point does attenuation happen in these cables? are there even cables lengths of this proportion available by cisco? options?

Unfortunately not.. The longest stackwise cable is 10 Ft long. If you need longer than that you will have to use either copper or fiber uplinks between the closets. Here is some information on the stackwise technology.

CAB-STACK-3M Cisco StackWise CAB-STACK-3M
CAB-STACK-50CM Cisco StackWise CAB-STACK-50CM
