Try boot bootflash: to see if it will continue to load. If you use 0x2102 for the register then you must have a boot statement pointing to the image .

Hi ,
Try "boot"
Did you change the config-register or delete a file?

The Configuration registry showed 0 and 40 at next reload. Is this the reason for the bootup in rmon?
boot bootflash: started the switch without the startup. I did a copy start run to restore service. The config-registry showed 0 and 40 at next reload. I changed it to 2102. I'll reload after hours to verify it boots up ok. Any ideas why my registry would show 0 and 40 at next reload? Other than someone manually changing it...
Here is my boot statement:
boot system bootflash:/cat4500e-ipbasek9-mz.122-53.SG1.bin
Here is the dir:

Get rid of the forward slash / that is right before the imagename , not supposed to be there and may keep it from booting. Besides that it looks good and should boot ok once that is removed.
