Hi all,
I'm trying to do a file copy from a server to my desktop that consists of about 6000 files. I start the copy, and get about 50 files copied and then my network port shuts off. I verified that I lose link light on the 6509 blade for my port. After about 30 seconds, it turns back on. I noticed that flow control is off on the switch. Any ideas as to why the switchport might be shutting itself off? There is nothing in the 6509 log saying anything. Is there a debug command i could use to get more info?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Steve

Hi,
This problem is similar to bug in 10000 series. Can you post your "show version" output?

Hi,
What protocol are you using to copy the file and from what server and application?
If I can remember, there is a problem using SCP from Unix or Tectia. The workaround is to use Windows, Linux, or SSH server.
