Helloo,
I have a pair of 9606R switches in a virtual-stackwise. Did an upgrade from 16.12.04 to 17.3.3, things are fine, but when I console into the unused SUP on each unit I'm seeing the below message and it is normal?
***BOOT FAIL***: Rommon invalid or timeout.

Connect the console and reload and see if that fix the issue or post complete logs.
If this is effecting your environment raise an TAC case for emergency.

Console into the supervisor card and reboot.
We want to see what the line card is actually doing.

Actually when I enter in console to the SUP this one show a continuos message LOG error :
***BOOT FAIL***: Rommon invalid or timeout.
The only thing I can do is extract and insert the SUP I supposed.

Try to reload the slot, or if you like you can pull and re-insert and capture complete log and post here.
